Here is some feedback for Hazel & Schwab Family Law Office from some of their customers. This firm is all about the money for them. They charge more than stated in the fees for emails and they discourage having talking communication. From the start Emily give false idea of time for a divorce when she know how slow the courts work. Using lawyers and all the extra unneeded "discovery" work that has to be done is a waste of time, nothing is done with it. Expect to go through your retainer before a possible divorce trial happens. Expect it to take a lot of time. Emily does not really know her cases and does not go into hearings prepared. Make sure you attend even though "you don't need to be there", so you really know what is going on. She misrepresent her clients and makes up some reason why things didn't turn out well. They don't advise you well and suggest things are included in the temporary orders that hurt later. She is not really there working for you and your best interests by being honest about the process and fighting for the client. They are very slow so if whoever you’re going against has a fast attorney, these are not the people for you. They’re not very confident in what they do and I’m pretty sure they only work one day a week.save your money they want 5500.00$ retainer and 1700.00$ for the first appointment now one month later I get a bill for $20 for the email they sent me telling me they mailed me my check for my refund that’s petty like I said all they want is your money. Highly recommend Hazel & Schwab Family Law. I'm really thankful with their help in my case. Very knowledgeable and great service. Not only did I feel seen, heard and valued, but I felt respected and empowered. The legal system can often times make you feel very small and underprepared. I am so grateful for Emily and her team. Attorney Emily Schwab and her staff really care about families. Their office has supported the students at K8 Virtual in their school progress by making donations to charities on their behalf when they show success in their school efforts. They help kids be motivated to learn. They are professional and caring! Emily saved my life, my children’s life very dramatic divorce. Emily came and help me get back on my feet. They fight for what's right and won't stop till it is right. I love Emily she is amazing and her and her staff work hard for you. Very helpful and knowledgeable cares about you and especially for the children. David is a great lawyer and a great man. He's stood by my side for the last 2 years against some horribly difficult selfish people who dragged on a never ending divorce that should have been over quickly. I'll recommend him to anyone. I cannot put a zero star or else I would. My friend chose this place to get her divorce taken care of, aside from it taking almost two years, they still have not received the excess money back. And every time she calls to ask them when she will get it, they charge her another $50 and still don't return the money. Please do not use them for anything, you will not be well served if you do.
