Customer Feedback Summary: About West Town Monona Tire: 1. I was recently here for $1,144 worth of work. Quality is fine price is Excellent work! Friendly staff. Quality is fine. The price is insane. They wanted to charge me $1,144 to have them fix a faulty third-party part they installed. They said the part was covered by a 60k mileage warranty, and I had a little over 60,000 miles.2. In for tire rotation and vehicle inspection. Great place to take your vehicle to.3. Wonderful place!! They really got me out of a jam. I was on vacation and had a very limited time to find a rare tire. I called 15 other places and it would have been days before they could get the tire in. I was leaving the next morning for the airport. They called their driver and got the tire on the truck at 2 pm and I shortly had a new tire.4. I have had great service overall, but the latest repair I had done resulted in a lack of attention to detail. In April of this year, I had a fuel filter sensor replaced. A miscommunication between Zimbrick and West Town Monona Tire delayed the repairs for a week, and the car did have some hail damage from a storm as the car was parked outside when the storm hit. I do not blame the shop for that because weather events do happen. I do recall Ian mentioned that my air filter may need to be replaced, but I declined any additional services other than the fuel filter sensor repair to resolve a check engine light. Last Friday, when I had a friend change my oil, he noticed that the hoses that connect to the air filter were loose, barely connected, if at all. I then called Ian to inform him that the tech failed to connect the hoses. Fortunately, my friend was able to clamp the main hose properly after it cooled down a bit, and I later visited a local dealership to reattach the drainage hose on the side. What bothered me was the fact that the air filter had nothing to do with the fuel filter sensor replacement. It was likely checked as a "courtesy" to sell additional services, but the technician failed to reattach the hoses properly. From this point on, I will have to request explicitly that the technician not lift up the hood and check anything extra. I drove around for over three months with an air filter that almost was not connected. I would have given this review only two stars, but I gave it an extra star because I will still likely call this repair shop in the future. Also, Ian did try to provide great customer service. This incident opened up my eyes about remaining vigilant after a repair is done, but it should not have to be that way.5. So so. Was a nice facility. People were friendly. Friendly folks, but I came in already knowing the issue and specifically asked them to torque the rear sway bar end links to spec. They didn’t perform the requested work and didn’t provide any new diagnostic information beyond what I already knew. I left disappointed.10. Had my car in for an oil change and service teck informed me that the cabin filter was dirty. I didn't realize that they charge me over $ 30.00 for the filter and part store have them less than 1/2 plus they charge me over $30.00 to install it. What a joke. I had the car since 2008 and never once did I had to pay any garage labor cost to replace the cabin or engine air filter . Plus they don't accept local check. Why didn't they have a sign that said no check. They done lost my business.11. Honest and super knowledgeable. Was a very positive experience. And my car is running better than ever12. In an emergency situation Monona Tire and Auto Center replaced both front wheel hubs and bearings with precision in a matter of hours. Thanks to superior management and service direction, a mechanical auto repair that also was a life saving measure, was accomplished.
