Schmidt & Schmidt SC Customer Review Summaries 1. I used Schmidt & Schmidt for a land purchase. Andrew and his staff are very professional and super easy to work with. The whole process was very quick and easy. Highly recommend. Will use them in the future. 2. Here’s my experience booking Andrew and Susan Schmidt to officiate my wedding. First and foremost, it was troubling that you mispronounced my name and were unsure of my husband’s name during the ceremony. You made a remark during our ceremony to him stating, “And your name is…? Well, you know your name, so what is it?” In front of 100+ of our wedding guests. These are significant details that were mishandled, which showed us your lack of preparation and care. Additionally, your late arrival to the ceremony caused considerable anxiety, as we were left scrambling to find a potential backup officiant out of concern that you might not show. This added unnecessary stress to an already emotional and important day. We were also surprised and disappointed by parts of your speech, particularly the tasteless reference to Afghanistan. Several guests in attendance have lost loved ones in that conflict, and your remarks were hurtful for them. What may have been intended as humor, fell flat and came across as inappropriate which detracted from the tone we hoped for during such a special moment. I believe it’s important to offer this feedback not with malice, but in the hopes that it may inform your future ceremonies. A wedding is one of the most cherished days in a family’s life, and we were left feeling that the service did not reflect the care and respect the occasion deserved. When I reached out to discuss this in private, I was met with an aggressive tone, along with excuses as to why all of this happened, many being that Andrew “just likes to have fun.” We also like fun, a wedding is a great day to showcase that. There’s a difference between fun and being disrespectful, unprofessional, and inconsiderate. 3. Wouldn't even meet for an initial consultation for under $200. Was told "he doesn't work for free." Well, he's not working or hired yet, he is listening to me talk to see if he will even TAKE the case. Way to jump the gun, bud. Go elsewhere, you can already see where this is going, fee, after fee, after fee. Save your time and money. 4. After consulting with various lawyers over the years for a few different unexpected matters, I can honestly say that all staff at Schmidt & Schmidt provided the most genuinely warm, honest, and down-to-earth responses than any other firm I’d ever spoken with. All staff were patient, highly informative, and willing to go the extra mile to help. They always made me feel better after every conversation. Their fees were very fair and well worth the speedy success in completing my matter.. As a tenant of an unfortunate tenant-landlord situation, I received prompt answers and the support I needed to prove honesty and fairness does still exist. You won’t regret their services! 5. We purchased a home from a family member and went to them for help with the transaction. It took them 8 weeks to get ready to close a cash purchase with no inspection or contingency. Finally a Title company bailed them out and got the closing done. They charge $600 for a genetic printed offer to Purchase! They never returned one phone call , they only way to get any response is to go to the office in person.the help is the most incompetent group I personally have ever worked with! 6. Very helpful with what we needed. Thank you! 7. Don’t talk to Susan worst receptionist I’ve ever talked to rushed me and disrespected me here’s my number law office if you don’t want me to sue you! 8. Very thankful we were able to find you guys. We called looking for representation, and Kevin talked with us for 30 minutes. He was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful with our situation and gave us a good idea of the appropriate steps moving forward. Everyone we spoke to was very kind. 9. Andrew was great. Best initial consultation ever. Shawna (spelling??) was great as well... 10. I can't express the amount of gratitude I have for attorney Andrew Schmidt and Paralegal Tania at Schmidt & Schmidt law office. As they were great to work with is my recent divorce which was a bit of a nightmare taking over 3 years from filing to the end. From having to retain a 2nd attorney after my first moved out of the state which was with another attorney office in town. And then my ex firing her attorney so then attorney Schmidt offer her to come in and sit down with us to help get us though the divorce preceding. He couldn't mediate our divorce as he's a licensed mediator with him being my attorney and told her that. But did help both parties get what they wanted. So i would say if everybody needs a good lawyer reach out to Schmidt & Schmidt and give Andrew a shot. Once again thanks for all your/your teams hard work could be happier 11. Pretty bad when his own paralegals tell people to go elsewhere. 13. Excellent firm to mediate for divorce. Easy, peasy if you & the other party can get along & settle without conflict or argument.
