The faculty is able to encourage a diversity of legal scholarship, including feminist, historical and comparative, analytical, theoretical, as well as critical, legal theory approaches. The LLM/Doctoral programs offer advanced research opportunities at the intersection between law and society. Because law and society are deeply interconnected, each student must have one outside supervisor in their committee. Our program has had students who have been supervised by scholars from philosophy, history, anthropology and political science. UVic's graduate co-op program allows you to apply what you have learned and gain the experience that you will need for your job after graduation. Three MSc-level graduate programs are offered: project option, thesis option and industrial option. The September entry is not eligible for the Industrial option.
