4S Dance Academy (also known as 4SDA) was founded in 2010 in 4S Ranch. The shared studio lease expired after 5 years and the new owners Shay & Jason Galloway started the search for a home. 4SDA found a retail space of 5300 square feet in Westwood Shopping Center. It is located conveniently on W. Bernardo Rd. It is accessible via I-15, Rancho Bernardo Dr., and the surrounding area (4S Ranches, Carmel Mountain Del Sur, Escondido Poway Rancho Bernardo Pancho Penasquitos San Marcos, San Marcos). Shay started her ballet classes at Laguna Dance Theatre, with Shery Gilbert. She was around the age of many of your young dancers. She trained at several other prestigious institutions, including the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School and Pacific Northwest Ballet. Shay attended the University of Arizona dance program as a freshman and danced notable roles such as Russian Principle in George Balanchine’s Serenade. She was also part of an elite group of students that traveled and performed in Italy. Shay graduated with a BFA degree in dance and joined Nevada Ballet Theatre, Las Vegas, where she played solo roles in many ballets, including The Nutcracker. Napoli. Val Caniparoli’s Lambarena. George Balanchine’s Who Cares? To name just a few. Shay later joined Nova Ballet in Tempe, AZ. Shay Logo PicShay has been teaching ballet for over 18 years at many reputable schools including Laguna Dance Theatre and San Elijo Dance and Music Academy. Shay joined Nova Ballet, Tempe AZ. Shay Logo PicShay teaches ballet at several reputable schools such as Laguna Dance Theatre and San Elijo Dance and Music Academy. Shay's most recent position was as a teacher at the Los Angeles Ballet School. This is the official school for the Los Angeles Ballet.
