4S Dance Academy

About 4SDA 4S Dance Academy (4SDA) was founded in 2010 in 4S Ranch. The studio lease was shared, and it is expired 5 years later. The new owners Shay & Jason Galloway started to look for a home for 4SDA. 4SDA found a retail space in Westwood Shopping Center, with about 5300 square feet. The studio is located on W. Bernardo Rd in a location that is very convenient for people driving I-15, Rancho Bernardo Dr, and surrounding areas (4S Ranches, Carmel Mountian, Del Sur, Escondido, Poway, Rancho Bernardo, Pancho Penasquitos, San Marcos, San Marcos). Shay's Story Shay started her dance at Laguna Dance Theatre, with Shery Gilbert, at the same age as many of her students. She continued her training at prestigious institutions. To mention a few, Shay went to Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School and Pacific Northwest Ballet. Shay also attended the University of Arizona dance program, where as a freshman, she danced such notable roles as Russian Principle in the George Balanchine’s Serenade. She also was part of an elite group of students that traveled and performed in Italy. Shay graduated with a BFA degree in dance and joined Nevada Ballet Theatre, Las Vegas. While at the company, Shay performed solo roles in many ballets, including The Nutcracker. Napoli. Val Caniparoli’s Lambarena. George Balanchine’s Who Cares? just to mention a few. Shay later joined Nova Ballet, Tempe, AZ. Shay also taught at prestigious schools like Laguna Dance Theatre and San Elijo Dance and Music Academy for over 18 years. Shay accepted a teaching position at the Los Angeles Ballet School, which is the official school for the Los Angeles Ballet. Shay believes that a safe and nurturingenvironment is important for her ballet students. Shay is meticulous in her teaching and training. Shay is thrilled to have been named the artistic director of 4S Dance Academy. Shay cannot wait to share her passion for ballet and dance with others.
