Alberta Ballet School is a Canadian dance school that was founded in 1991. More than 1,000 students from Calgary, Alberta, and Edmonton are enrolled in their Professional Division and Open Division programs. Ashley McNeil serves as the Artistic Director of Alberta Ballet School (Artistic Director). The institute is located in Calgary, Alberta and Edmonton, Alberta. Alberta Ballet School is the official school of the Alberta Ballet Company, where students have the opportunity to dance and collaborate with the company member and staff. Our excellent faculty and supportive environment provide a nurturing atmosphere for our students to grow and acquire skills. Alberta Ballet School, Alberta Ballet’s official training division. Alberta Ballet School students have exclusive access to Alberta Ballet’s artistic team and international dancers whom the company presents during its season. Students participate in master classes with choreographers and fill out support cast roles for productions with large casts, such as Giselle or The Nutcracker. Alberta Ballet School has been providing professional ballet instruction to students for 30 years. Our alumni have danced with companies from all over the world. Seventeen of our graduates have danced with famous ballet companies in the last two years (Alberta Ballet School). Some of the prominent companies include the National Ballet of Japan, the National Ballet of Hong Kong, the Moscow Ballet, and the Kyiv Ballet. Alberta Ballet School takes particular pride in continuing the work of Alberta Ballet's founders. The company's founding directors began a dance academy that became the state ballet.
