About this business

The tiny Espresso van was initially on Jasper Ave in Edmonton. In the summer of 2018, the truck shifted into the DT of Edmonton. Lui-Chi's first brick-and-mortar location opened on Rice Howard Way in Edmonton just one year after driving the streets of Edmonton! Our first store is slated to open in Calgary by the summer of 2019. My passion for roasting coffee comes from over 15 years in the industry. After working in Corporate America, I finally decided to follow my interest. The first Espresso Bar on Wheels in Edmonton was created in the summer of 2017. The Lui-Chi roasted Whiskey barrel aged espresso tastes like perfection! I opened my first Espresso Bar in the downtown Phipps-McKinnon Building in 2018. You should follow your interest, do what you love, and spread it to others. More to come! Our beans come from Latin America and Eastern Africa. They will be aged in whiskey barrels for 90 days. The beans are roasted on an open flame until the first crack is heard. Arnaud, the proprietor of Arno’s Fine French Pastry, brings us all of our afters.
