Arts Umbrella - not-for-profit arts education centre for young people ages 2- 22 years. We offer programs in Theatre, Music & Film, Art & Design, and Dance. We believe in the transformative power of art. It can change young lives in ways that are exquisite and profound. When children experience the arts firsthand, they develop self-confidence, self-discipline, and creative expression—essential qualities for lifelong success. We have four sites in Vancouver and Surrey, plus donor-funded programs delivered at neighborhood houses, schools, community centers, healthcare facilities, and other sites around Metro Vancouver. Nearly 75% of our students participate at no or low cost. Our open and accessible model of program delivery allows us to connect with over 20,000 children aged 2-22 every year. Arts Umbrella presents an excellent space for creative arts for kids. Visitors commend the high1 quality of visual and performance arts programmes. Especially in light of COVID-19, the school structures are flexible and organized to meet health guidelines, offering a sense of security to parents when sending their children. Many note the lovely ambiance and school building, describing the site as welcoming and forwarding creativity and professionalism. Staff members are another highlight, they are great and accommodating, offering excellent support for learners. Kids take home not only artistic skills but also a lasting love for art and a creative community. Overall, the ongoing reviews are optimistic.
