The studio courses are theoretical training courses that use a wide range of techniques and methods. They also integrate into the courses in composition, improvisation, and collaboration. Our lecture courses follow the same principle: they not only provide historical and aesthetic contexts for critical thinking based on our concept of practice-as-research, but they also allow our students freedom to question those contexts with information from their own socio-cultural backgrounds and experiences. Our program is based on collaboration, so we encourage students to collaborate with other SCA disciplines, including Film, Music & Sound (including Theatre Performance), Theatre Production & Design (including Visual Art), and Art, Performance & Cinema Studies to create new and exciting projects.
