The swimming school on the island is run by instructors from Island Swimming Club. They offer swimming lessons in Victoria. There is no need to worry for people in Greater Victoria since swimming lessons are accessible and they can sign up immediately. Anyone who needs such services can contact the club center. Swim Skills Jr. & Swim Skills Sr are available at Crystal Pool, and Island Wave Skills at Commonwealth Pool. Island Swim Skills can be registered as a swim lesson but is coached by Island Swimming coaches. This program can benefit those who need expert instruction, more time in the water, and more practice than what other programs provide. Island Swimming has two swimming pools in order to provide more options for our swimmers. The first is a 10-lane pool where swimming professionals who have reached the Provincial level or higher train together at the Saanich Commonwealth Pool. Here, swimmers younger than 18 years old work toward the Provincial pool standards. All athletes have great benefits from our training groups. Many swimmers move between these groups as their abilities improve and as they require more challenge.

A welcoming presence, the Covid pandemic has posed a unique challenge to the club, with customers saying they have struggled but emerged stronger. The two managers are very informational and maintain the safety of all the attendees. Participants say that getting instructions from them is enjoyable and beneficial. Club members have added to the supportive environment, creating long-term bonds and passion for the sport. Local clubs are not always welcoming to minorities and beginners, but this one earned its reputation by values and practical boundaries. Island Swim Club members agreed that this place is the most welcoming place for swimmers of all levels.
