At West Coast Swim School, we provide private 1-on-1 lessons to meet each individual's needs. Our classes are conducted in a heated pool for children, teens, and adults. No group lessons are conducted here! Each individual is unique, and our instructors are flexible. You will feel like part of our family when you join us.
Coaching started over twenty years ago for me. I also became a National Lifeguard and NLS Waterpark in 1987. My work included the Lower Mainland's beaches and municipal pools. Finally, I learned how to teach things like diving and water fitness, as well as baby classes in water. In big box pools, I felt out of place teaching after years in municipal pools. There were too many kids, and they couldn't learn. I am more mature now and have a more mature style of teaching. I am a parent and can relate better. Only mature, caring instructors work here. My passion is swimming. Swimming is more than just a sport. It is a way to live and learn. Many children aged 1 to 4 will enjoy learning how to swim and be happy. Many adults will breathe in the water. I want to make it possible for them to swim in water with kids who were scared before.
This is a private, warm place. The water temperature is 88 to 89 degrees. The focus is swimming. Another key aspect of this is trust. A person will be vulnerable when they swim. Trust is a key aspect of personal growth. The coach must be your partner. You can share your feelings and concerns with them. Each swimmer must be successful. We offer personalized lessons. You will succeed. This is a unique opportunity to learn and grow here. Swimming is fun, so let's learn it together! Learn to swim with me. I will surprise you!
