Artful Owl: children's art studio

These are important life skills that participants can use throughout their lifetime. Life in the studio The Owl Studio was born from the love of art, learning, and creativity. Stephanie spent 12 years working as a museum curator in various galleries and museums. She saw amazing collections that inspired her. The same inspiration has gone into the art projects she creates for the children that come into the studio each week. She was also able to use her museum experiences to teach Introduction to Art, History of Textiles, and other courses at the University of Manitoba. Stephanie loves collage art and has created everything from 3D forms to large installations. She lives with her husband, Chris, and their daughter, Hazel.

A majority of recent visitors with kids say they had a superb time at Artful Owl, with their children leaving enthused and eager to come back for more. Many highlight the great staff that entertained and interacted with children throughout the sessions. They loved the post-session projects. Many reviews noted that they created an environment in which children's limitless imaginations could flourish.
