Although a simple building at 884 Bradford Street has been quietly and unobtrusively serving dog lovers, conformation show dog fans, dog owners, and dog sport enthusiasts for so many years, the area is familiar to many. Not everybody fully understands the story of the building at 884 Bradford St. Near the end of 2019, the place nearly fell to oblivion. In the early 2000s, Hi Flyers Agility Training began leasing the 6000+ square feet facility, as the former abandoned industrial space was large enough for their small business. It quickly became apparent that their class was only the fraction of the many hours they were in the facility each week. Since, it had become "Bradford," it was home to several dog trainers. The dog sport teams, agility clubs, and dog clubs rented it for their events. For some time, individuals could even rent use the space to train their dogs. Fast forward to 2019, Hi Flyers decided to vacate the building. However, the space is now at the brink of being lost for good. All the attempts to make the place stay had failed. Suddenly, the user groups made known their grief that the place was at a point of losing. But few users saw the big picture and decided to do something. Lisa Kalkhoven and Katherina Dueck, both instructors and dog sport enthusiasts, meeting several times to discuss the possibility of taking over the lease.
