Atlantic Montessori School

Atlantic Montessori School has been operating as of January 2013. Our AMI Montessori Guide and co-owner, Analia Lowe, and Andrea Cavicchi deliver superior Montessori programs in the Halifax Regional Municipality. AMS serves the Halifax Regional Municipality with high-quality Montessori programs. AMS offers programs for children aged 1.5 to 6 years. Our facility houses one Toddler Class and two Casa Classes. The Casa classes are for children aged 3 to 6 years and feature a bilingual environment where children can learn in English and French. AMS is an active member of the Canadian Council of Montessori Administrators organization. CCMA focuses on excellence in Montessori Education. AMS follows the Montessori principle of education, which emphasizes independence and respect for oneself, others, and the environment. Montessori education is not structured as a competitive environment. Each child is unique and valuable, and the curriculum is focused on nurturing their individual gifts and talents. The Montessori program encourages cooperation and respect, establishing a close-knit community.
