True North Gallery

True North Gallery, also known as The Music Gallery of Fine Art, is owned by the same people who own True North Records. Launched as an independent Canadian label back in 1969, the company was once the home of Bruce Cockburn and Buffy Sainte-Marie. Although they are no longer connected with the company, Murray McLauchlan and other artists are still signed on. Waterdown is a quaint historic Victorian town situated in Ontario. The new location is on the Niagara Escarpment, only five minutes up the road after the QEW (Niagara) off-ramp from Highway 403. The gallery is a 40-minute drive from Toronto, and customers can stop at Tim Hortons, Starbucks or Cora’s en route. Visitors can view more than 100 original art and limited edition originals from known and emerging Canadian artists. The art gallery is open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Saturday, unless there is a public holiday. No entry fee is charged, and everyone is encouraged to enjoy the gallery because it is free.
