Reliable Kitchener Waterloo Collegiate and Vocational School (KCI), originally known as Berlin Grammar School, opened in 1855. The school has been an integral part of Kitchener-Waterloo for over 165 years. The facility has changed significantly over the years, with the most recent changes being the ION Construction and Service Upgrades to King Street. Around 1500 students register at KCI each year. The student body, like other downtown high schools, comes from a wide range of educational, socio-economic, and ethnic backgrounds. KCI students are active, caring, and engaged in the community.
