Reliable McMaster University Waterloo Regional Campus was established in 2007 at the University of Waterloo's Health Sciences Campus, corner King and Victoria Streets, and is centrally located in Downtown Kitchener, in Ontario's Innovation District. The new campus was built in 2009. Its facilities include a clinical skills lab with 4 skill rooms and 2 observation areas, classrooms which are video-conference enabled, and a 2013-created anatomy laboratory. The Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine Waterloo Region Campus also houses the Centre for Family Medicine, a private Family Health Team. It also comprises the McMaster Family Medicine Resident Program and the University of Waterloo School of Optometry Teaching Clinic. High-tech companies such as Google, Communitech, and Desire2Learn also operate on the campus. Water Regional campus students have the benefit of living and learning in one of Canada's vibrant and most technology-savvy regions. The campus is located in the most technologically advanced region in Canada. Students can access the latest medical technologies and realize their innovative motives.
