My name is Ralf, but I go by Raflar. I am a Canadian painter who focuses on acrylic and watercolor abstracts. I prefer to paint en plain air because my environment is integral to my art. My art gives me peace and joy, and I hope my viewers feel the nature connection. Energy always influences my art. The energy of delusion or transformation in my surroundings influences my art. I examine the water, woods, and mountains around me, which can be seen in my art. It is important to me that the viewer can feel the spirit of the environment where I was inspired. Watercolors must be used lightly. I prefer to use water from the environment to dilute my paint. Acrylic abstracts and landscapes are made with a palette knife. This creative tool allows me to show the essence of the environment using an expressive and impressionistic style.otional landscape.
