Sheri Cappa - Fine Artist

About Sheri Cappa Sheri Cappa grew up on a small farm in South-Western Ontario. Sheri's work as a skating coach has inspired her to explore her creativity in music and dance. She has been a member of the London Brush and Palette Club since 2009. Through workshops, classes, and field trips, she has developed and evolved. Sheri's art is in private collections across Canada and won multiple ribbons at the Brush and Palette Club annual shows. She arranges retreats for artists in Ontario Provincial Parks, as well as other organizations. She enjoys teaching all age groups, both in schools and privately. Recent Work Sheri produces detailed watercolour and graphite works. Inviting the viewer into the piece, the artist aims to encapsulate the joy and whimsy of the moment, which often elicits a grin. Inter-playing with light and darkness creates depth which "pulls" the viewer into the level of detail. This shows the level of the artist focus and attention to detail in this piece, she created it to convey the happiness and joy of her art. Mediums and Techniques Sheri prefers to work with pencil, ink, and watercolour. She often combines two or all three of these media. Watercolour is her preferred medium because of its fluidity. She likes the unpredictability that comes with watercolour. Her subjects are vast from people and animals to her trips while camping.
