Ottawa School of Art

Sonia Arenas is a Venezuelan-born Canadian artist from the Ottawa School of Art. She graduated in 2006, after which she started working as an art advisor to both homes and businesses. For the past fifteen years, she has designed and taught children's art courses and held solo and group exhibitions in Europe, Canada, and Latin America. She is devoted to teaching and loves to pass on her knowledge about art, a passion that has led to experience in homeschooling and with children of diverse intellectual abilities. She has been working on her paintings and sculptures and has a special interest in photography and mixed media work. Sonia's artistic work reveals her interest in the human being and its essence. Her particular focus has been on indigenous peoples and women.

The Ottawa School of Art reviews are universally positive. The school has a structured curriculum and quality instructors. The school offers free classes for children and adults.
