Our English Language Centre has been running English language programs for students wishing to study at USask or the general community since 1980. Students who need to spend their first year learning English full-time and need to pass a test to begin their degree. You may apply for joint admission to EAP (English for Academic Purposes) and your university degree program. You can register for University Bridging at the highest level after you have completed this. This program allows you to attend your degree program the following semester. In the program’s final stage, you will take a university course for credit toward your degree work while learning English. This will help you integrate the language skills you’ve learned into your degree. Graduate Bridging is also available for those conditionally admitted to a USask graduate program who must improve their English proficiency. Graduate Bridging, which combines English Language Centre study with a graduate course, GPS 981, helps you finish advanced English studies while using your new language skills in a real-life academic setting.
