Emerson Scott Customer Review Compilation I have not practiced law in Jonesboro since March 2013 (1). Very disappointed. Had a friend recommend him but he didn't even meet with me before court like he said he would. He wasn't prepared and my children and I are traumatized by what happened in the court room. I don't know what I would have done without their help. Friendly staff (4). He is an amazing man and lawyer and always does what he says! I will forever go to Scott Emerson and I recommend him to everyone! (5). Never had to hire a lawyer before so I really didn't know what to expect. This was a divorce/child custody case. He did work with me on payment though & sent me an email apologizing for any mishaps. Thought that was kind of him. Anyways.....things went well in the end though I think it could have been better if things weren't rushed cause he didn't get to it until last min (7). When I told him I hired him bc of his good reviews he literally told me he has his secretary write good ones for him everyday I thought he was joking until he got the money in hand (11). Hands down best lawyer in Jonesboro (13). Need a great lawyer? He is the one! (14). I would not recommend Scott Emerson to anyone! In 2009 I retained him to represent me in a custody case regarding my incompacitated mother. After being billed over $6000 he came up with a document naming my sister and I co-guardian which was thrown out of court in 2018 because it is illegal in Arkansas for two people to be guardian unless they are husband and wife. Now I understand why two people who disagree should not have equal power. Over the years this has caused issues and a split in my family that is beyond being repaired. Scott Emerson did not remember my case when I went to speak to him about this and ask for my money back and called the police to have me removed from his office. I would run the other way!!!
