Martin Bruinsma attended UCLA as a Psychobiology major and graduated from the Art Center College of Design with a BFA. Lately, he has been investigating sexual identity and its societal implications utilizing 1940's Hollywood and the sensibilities of Film Noir. By exploring the expressions of male power through body language, he analyzed societal dynamics and privilege that fuel issues such as the #metoo movement and other social activism. Lois Lambert Gallery in Bergamot Station in Santa Monica, you can check out his work. The show opens Saturday, July 14.
