FM Oakland

About FM Oakland Founded by Joseph Kowalczyk in 2010, FM Oakland is an artist’s studio and art gallery. In Berkeley, FM Oakland was co-founded with previous members of Firehouse Collective. FM Oakland was closed from 2016 to 2018 but has been operational since 2019. Joseph’s wife Emily Tian has played a role in bringing east bay talent to the FM Oakland. FM Oakland encourages submissions from east bay artists to showcase their work. FM Oakland Studios FM Oakland provides ten studios for artists keen on developing and expanding their artistic language purposefully and earnestly. They can also influence their community by displaying their craft. Presenting a varied group of artists, FM Oakland shows a variety of mediums that include ceramics, printing, painting, wall sculpture, and assemblage.
