The Perfect Workout was founded 1999 which was invented by our founder Matt Hedman, who was an engineer and an innovator in personal fitness. Tired of spending hours in the gym, Matt was fed up with the results. He had been injured, his weight was up and down, and he never got the results he wanted compared to the hours he put in. His discovery of Slow-Motion strength training changed everything. Slow-Motion weight training was the perfect combination of joint-friendliness and muscle strength, and it gave the best results in the shortest time. Only twice a week was necessary. Matt called it The Perfect Workout, and it was the end of his 9–5. He quit engineering and turned his passion into a plan he could pass on to others.

I am so happy that I started my exercise program at the Perfect Workout in Newport Beach! It is only 20 minutes 2 days a week of intense weight lifting which makes it very doable for me. I have definitely seen a difference in muscle tone and I feel much stronger! Tyler is a fantastic trainer to work with. Very personable, patient, motivating, encouraging, fun and really knows his stuff! I cannot say enough great things about Tyler and The Perfect Workout!
