Welcome to Tails-U-Win! Tails-U-Win! is a friendly place where dogs and their people can learn and play together. Leslie Nelson, the owner and training director, can help you achieve this whether you come to us at our facility in Manchester, CT or work with us via online training programs. According to Nelson, happiest, most well-trained dogs are those whose owners have access to the training tools and support they need without judgment or correction. In a previous life, Leslie managed the training department for Sea World of Ohio, where she and her staff taught marine mammals such as dolphins, seals, sea lions, and otters. Training was based on behavioral learning theory, maximizing the animal's understanding and performance. These principles can be applied to pets and high-level competition dogs. Reward based training techniques are used to build solid relationships between dogs and their owners, horses, or other animals. This training style is simple, anyone can do it, and the results can be amazing. The lesson taught in this module is elementary obedience. Temporarily, everything is online, but it will eventually be given at our location. You will learn to sit, down, stay, come, loose leash walk, etc. You can participate in remote online video conferences text(ALOAD).
