Tampa residents have a love for coffee that is unparalleled, and that's because of Cuban, Spanish, and Italian immigrants who came here in the early twentieth century. During the era when cigar factories were located in Ybor City, workers often drank coffee while "El Lector" read the paper to them. We have grown up with stories of our Grandparents who rolled cigarettes in factories. They often mention about how the coffee kept them energized and going all day long. Our Grandparents regarded coffee as a part of their daily routine, just like we do now. Our memories of enjoying coffee together with our family, friends and other co-workers inspired our passion for coffee. Our knowledge of coffee and our expertise in the field have led us to involve our local community in our coffee-making processes. We have created a brand that combines the old-world quality that our Grandparents taught us with new technology to produce a 22nd Street Coffee. Our story began in the back of a Ybor City bakery. We started from humble beginnings and grew from there. Our experiences on 22nd Street have helped us to combine old-world craftsmanship and modern technology and create products that meet our customers' expectations of excellence, from the very first cup.
