Cornelia Arts Building began in 1986 and is located at 1800 W. Cornelia Ave. It is Chicago's Northside's most celebrated All-Artist studio building. The structure is close to three different parts of Chicago: Lakeview, Roscoe Village, and Ravenswood/North Center. Open studio events are part of the studio's quarterly program in which local artists present their work to the public, including photographers, sculptors, and painters. The building has housed over 40 artists who work in various media (painting, jewelry, fabric, metal). Artists from Chicago and other countries can use the building to create their art. Ice block production was the original purpose of the four-floor building, built in 1910. The south end juts out. This was the stables. Ice blocks were hauled on horse-drawn carriages by its workers.

The consensus on these artist studios is largely positive, with multiple reviewers highlighting the creative atmosphere and the friendliness of the people. There are regular open house events, giving the public a chance to view the studios and works of art. The building's history is revealed in its old factory setting, contemporary art, and accessible artists. There are also numerous users that appreciate the availability of studio spaces, suggesting that the studios are inspiring and have developed a supportive artists' community. Though some reviews mention that parking at the studio may be scarce, the general feelings are positive and suggest that the studios offer a variety of artistic projects, a sense of community, and an opportunity to network with other artists.
