Transformation isn’t just a pipe dream at IUPUI. Our merger with two Big Ten universities—Indiana University and Purdue University—has resulted in a unique institution. Transformation is also emanating from our connection to our city. Our singular mission is to transform our students and our community for the better. The community report highlights IUPUI’s community dedication, formally agreed upon in 1969 by the Higher Learning Commission's accreditation. It was the standard for becoming the merger agreement of the IU Indianapolis campus and Purdue and IU. It's what brings us together today. We are now Indiana's premier urban research university, with more than 550 undergraduate and graduate programs.
