USA Gymnastics

USA Gymnastics is the national governing body for the sport in the United States, as designated by the U.S. Olympic Committee and the International Gymnastics Federation. The organization's headquarters are located in Indianapolis, and its mission is to empower and support fitness for its athletes. The highest priority for USA Gymnastics is the safety and well-being of its athletes. The organization makes the policies, rules, and standards that govern the sport. USA Gymnastics also selects and trains U.S. athletes. USA Gymnastics is the organization responsible for selecting and training U.S. gymnastics teams for the Olympics, World Championships, and other international competitions. USA Gymnastics also promotes and develops gymnastics at the grassroots level and in the national arena. USA Gymnastics provides continuing education through the organization’s experienced and new coaches and instructors and professional members. This organization's disciplines include six: men's, women's, trampoline and tumble, rhythmic gymnastics, and acrobatic and group gymnastics.
