Fire Studio & Gallery History Fire Glassblowing Studio was founded in Bullitt County KY in 2014. The space was previously Hawks View Gallery from 1996-2014. The studio worked with Hawks View Gallery to use their space for a public studio that educated the public about glass blowing and created a glass studio. Fire Gallery and Studio moved to its new home in the east end Louisville in January 2021. Accessibility and Information Fire Studio is open from 50 to 60 hours per week. Every week we make hundreds of items that you can buy from gift shops and boutiques all over North America. Our studio has a small but highly skilled staff of three glass artists who have over 70 years combined experience in glass blowing. Technology Fire Studio uses modern equipment, but the core of glassworking is ancient. We heat 2100-degree molten glasses, which are shaped by artists using techniques full of creativity, precision handwork, and the ability to make unique items. Every step of the glass-blowing process is revered, and our artists will guide you through each step you take in the studio.
