The network is composed of attorneys who have asked to be included and have said they were familiar with, or prepared to assist with, one or more disability-related legal issues. To make information and resources available to the general public and other professionals who are interested in disability issues and cases, the committee has organized them into a network by the parish. The Louisiana State Bar Association does not endorse or recommend a listing. This is because any person with a disability and those who have a legal problem connected to a disability need to know all of their constitutional rights to apprehend them and make sure they are living through them. Disability law is not as easy to grasp for both the individual and the professional undertaking the case. Reactivation of the Legal Services for Persons with Disabilities Committee (DAN) would allow these individuals to locate qualified attorneys in their location.
