Faster Paths to Therapy for Substance Abuse Disorders at Boston Medical Center (BMC) is a fast access addiction treatment program. This addiction-free environment does not judge. Faster Paths to Therapy staff may quickly assess, motivate, and refer patients with substance use disorders to inpatient or outpatient detox and treatment programs.
Treatments and Services
Referral to addiction treatment
Evaluation for medication for addiction treatment, such as prescriptions to initiate and stabilize with buprenorphine/naloxone (Suboxone) or buprenorphine extended-release injection (Sublocade), naltrexone pills or injection (Vivitrol) to block cravings, and methadone dosing may be required for 72 hours in specific cases.
Successive HIV treatment and prevention services.
Training on opioid overdose including Narcan (Naloxone) rescue kits
Utilize BMC Case Management to navigate common healthcare barriers such as transportation and obtaining a Massachusetts Identification Card.
BMC Admittance to a Primary Care Physician
Rapid ACCESS offers neighborhood-based recovery professionals support services.
