ArtsTech

ArtsTech is a hybrid partnership between the public and private sectors that provides young people and the community a chance to grow both their technical and artistic skills while being part of an entrepreneurial ecosystem. COMBAT is ArtsTech's main partner. This alliance includes the City of Kansas City (Mo.) and the Missouri Department of Public Safety (DPS). Involvement in Storytellers, Inc. supported the consortium's creative thinking and established relationships with the growing local artist community. The organization accomplishes this mission using the Center for youth enterprise, which offers slots for education and health services, as well as authentic, hands-on instruction in digital literacy and fine art. The nonprofit organization also fosters public/private partnerships that benefit the community. Picture a world where acts of kindness, equality, and peace prevail over violence and inequality. Young people's leaders hear their stories and act for change. Imagine families helping each other and setting an example for local leaders. If young people take the lead and engage in sincere and transparent dialog, the future will be healthier.
