PT's Coffee - Crossroads began in Topeka, Kansas in 1993 when Jeff Taylor and Fred Polzin could not find a decent cup of coffee. They opened two actual shops after they thought they could do better, and then, after four years, they began their Direct Trade Program to source greener beans and began to travel to the origin. Of course, this made us the specialty coffee leader. The only question we ask ourselves every day is whether our coffee is as good as it can be. Over thirty years, our company has shown that it is more important to be successful on our own terms than anybody else’s. The business prospers when we focus on the highest quality from the seed to the cup. Almost 80% of the coffee we buy is from our Direct Trade Program, which we have chosen for its coffee quality as well as its commitment to environmental and social responsibility. As the leading roaster in the United States, we roast five days a week for a variety of clients in retail, wholesale, and online. The Roast Magazine selected us as Roaster of the Year in 2009 and Coffee Review has named us among the best roasters in the industry. They have given us nearly 50 94-point scores and more than 30 spots on the Top 30 Coffees of 2022. We will be No. 1 in 2022! Our wholesale operation deals with nice cafes in major cities in the United States and local coffee houses. We also supply hotels, supermarkets, corporate offices, small businesses as well as grocery stores. We have a significant impact on the northeastern Kansas community and the coffee supply chain by giving back throughout the year.

The PT's Coffee reviews are extremely positive. Numerous reviewers who explore the neighborhood regularly singled the site out. People like the food, such as the breakfast sandwiches, but the popular vanilla chai also stands out. The workers are welcoming and supportive, which is a bonus. Even on a Saturday, the café isn't too chaotic. The peaceful, laid-back room with stylish wallpaper and art adds to the attraction. Guests often praise the excellent single-source espresso and coffee. The area is child-friendly, with many gluten-free choices. The only bad feedback is that adding a tip is difficult. Some people believe a default $2 option is off-putting. In total, this café is a great place to spend a few hours each time you need a pick-me-up.
