Our structured classes are designed to allow students the opportunity to enjoy the joy of movement and dance. From ages 3 to 4th grade we offer classes in ballet, tap jazz, and hip-hop. DCS offers a wide range of classes to suit the needs of all dancers. Each student receives individualized attention. Our goal is to build confidence and self-esteem! Our teachers and our students form our Dance Concepts Studios family. Students create beautiful memories for a lifetime. Classical Ballet at DCS is taught using the Cecchetti Method. The basis for all dance is ballet. Ballet, basic body positions, bar, stretching, center work, and proper alignment will increase flexibility, strength, and gracefulness. DANCEFIX, a dance fitness class for adults, features Heather's original choreography and that of HBDC instructors. The choreography, which includes hip-hop, jazz, Latin, and lyrical dances, is fun and fresh for newcomers and experienced dancers alike. The hour-long classes consist of 10 increasing cardio dances, a warmup, and a tone session. Students learn new dance choreography each week while working on nine other dances. DANCEFIX's mission is to promote health and happiness through dancing, as well as a connection with self and others. DANCEFIX dancers are often involved in flash mobs and other events that support cultural, social, and arts causes.
