The founder is Bryan Heyward, a Dayton native who graduated from Carroll High School in 1995. After graduation, he received a football scholarship to Western Kentucky University, where he played for legendary Head Coach Jack Harbaugh (father of Jim Harbaugh and head coaches of the NFL's San Francisco 49ers and Baltimore Ravens). Bryan was a four-year starter and team captain for WKU, where he earned the All-American Award with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Health Care Administration in the spring of 2000. Bryan became an American Family Insurance agent in 2006 as a scratch agent, with zero policies and clients. With 2,500 clients and 2,000,000 dollars in written premiums, he was quickly one of the country's best American Family agents. Bryan accomplished everything as an American Family agent and exited his franchise agreement with them. In January 2013, he established the Heyward Group LLC Insurance Company. Heyward Group is a brokerage firm that provides insurance to clients from over 150 countries. His clients have myriad insurance choices.
