I retained Boender & Payment to represent me in a contested restraining order case. Unfortunately, my experience was not a positive one. Attorney Hannah Silverman represented me at the hearing, which had significant personal consequences. In my opinion, the preparation felt minimal, and I did not feel well-supported or effectively advocated for during this critical proceeding.
After the hearing, I reached out regarding legal issues that arose directly from the outcome. I expressed concerns about how the case was handled and asked whether Ms. Silverman would be willing to assist further, including potentially on a pro bono basis. Instead, I received a notice that the firm was withdrawing from representation and that our client relationship was concluded.
While I appreciated that my retainer was refunded, the overall experience left me feeling dismissed at a time when I needed legal guidance the most. In my personal view, clients navigating sensitive and high-stakes matters like restraining orders deserve thorough communication, clear strategy, and consistent support. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this firm for family law or restraining order representation.
