Lexi Bishop Gallery Founded in August 2020, Lexi Bishop's contemporary art gallery opened its first permanent exhibition space in late 2021 in the Mexican War Streets neighborhood in Pittsburgh. Lexi Bishop Gallery was inaugurated with a solo exhibition of paintings, works on paper, and prints by Emma Horning, a Pittsburgh-based artist, in early June of 2022. Before building her gallery, Lexi’s career highlighted positions as Associate Director at Nino Mier Gallery in Los Angeles. The Los Angeles gallery exhibits an international group of contemporary artists. She was a specialist in Christie's Auction House's Post-War & Contemporary Art department from 2014 to 2019. Additionally, in New York, Lexi worked at Christie's Auction House, where she was a specialist in the Post-War & Contemporary Art department. Lexi earned her bachelor of arts degree in Art History, Russian Language & History, cum laude, from Bryn Mawr College in 2011. She holds a master of arts degree from Christie's Education in the History of Art as well as The Art Market Modern & Contemporary Art. Her educational path included completing an additional program at NYU's Summer Institute for Visual Arts Administration (SIVA). Lexi is also a certified AQB instructor and is a part of the Appraisers Association of America. Lexi completed coursework in the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal practice with their assistance. She additionally serves on the board of the Silver Eye Center of Photography.
