About this business
Dance to Glory Academy of Austin opened in 2007 as a Classical Christian Ballet Academy. The Academy was started because the Lord spoke to the founders and told them to "go to Austin and spread the Light and love of Christ by way of the ballet." The mission of the Academy is to be able to provide the students with an advanced classical dance education in a Christ-centered and safe environment. The vision is to train students to be able to have the skills to pursue a career in dance in a God-glorifying way that reflects the beauty of Christ. The main goal is to provide an atmosphere where the students can master the basics and can enjoy the beauty of dancing. Though we understand that not all students share this same goal, this training is also applicable to those who do not wish to pursue a career in dance. We want every student to be able to use their dance as a form of worship. We only use classical music and Christian songs in performances and classes so that the dance will glorify and honor the Lord.
As the students progress in classical dance, they work hard and develop a strong work ethic and respect for authority, as well as strive to achieve excellence in a humble manner. Students are able to acquire life skills beyond their dance training that they can apply to their other activities.
The Academy follows a classical ballet syllabus in all classes. The Academy's syllabus uses the examination method to advance to the next ballet level. Lower grades are based on Cecchetti and the Royal Academy of Dance techniques of classical dance. The upper levels are taught the Russian technique, also known as the Vaganova method.
The classes cut across all levels, from the beginner (3 years old) to the advanced level. The Academy only accepts students through their placement and not on the basis ofегистрация
Reviews Summary
The dance studio is consistently described as exceptional and worthy of high recommendation by multiple patrons. Customer comments mirror each other, claiming that the environment is familial, the backup performance "The Promised One" tells "The Bible" and highly praises the primary instructors. Miss Brittany and Miss Courtney are more than just teachers; they are life mentors, and Miss Laura loves each pupil. Families state that the devotion to the girls is seen and the Lord is learned in each move, which is hard to find even though they live in San Antonio. Many mothers and fathers rejoicing carnally about the perfection of the costumes and materials are moving, and they all indicate that their children are growing quickly because of the values emphasized here. There is a significant fervour for the tradition of the end-of-class thanksgiving and worship for the pupils in this school, and all comments are radiant and loving.
