Like many credit unions, FWCCU is unique among other financial institutions because it is not for profit. FWCCU is more than 92 years old and has $280M in assets. But FWCCU also offers many financial tools to help families and members build financial security. FWCCU’s charter expansion makes it available to persons living, working, or attending school in Tarrant and Wise counties and their families. FWCCU has the potential to grow and offer additional services, making this change the one with the most significant impact. However, generous profits can be returned to members in the form of lower loan rates, higher dividend yields, and lower fees, so it helped.
