Ballet Center of Houston

Houston Repertoire Ballet was originally established in 1995 by Victoria Vittum & Gilbert Rome. The Ballet Center of Houston is the headquarters of Houston Repertoire Ballet, which is now a nonprofit organization. Our pre-professional ballet training and theater performance opportunities are open to Ballet Center of Houston students and the wider Houston community by invitation. A family-friendly version of Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker is staged by the company every year, and a Celebration of Dance is also held for the whole Houston community. Participation in The Nutcracker is available to all Ballet Center of Houston Levels 2 to Level 5 students. A company invitation is necessary for participation, and there is no public audition. Our company-level instruction is always of the highest quality and aims for students to achieve optimal growth both in skill and in the family-friendly environment. All of our instructors are seasoned professionals who love teaching and are excited to share their zeal for dance with others. Students at Ballet Center of Houston can have a wide variety of lessons to pick from no matter how much they have danced. Those who are complete beginners may start with beginner ballet lessons aimed at children who just want to get a feel for the basics themselves. Regardless, those who want to become pre-professionals will be provided with the necessary advanced training they need to reach their goal someday
