Gremillion & Co. Fine Art, Inc., which includes 30,000 square feet of space to display artworks, was created by Ron Gremillion, a Houston gallerist. In his four-decade career, he assisted clients in making thoughtful and inspiring acquisitions from a wide range of emerging and established artists and built a considerable gallery inventory beyond his private collection. While Gremillion was working on retirement, he also initiated a vast, transparent sale of his holdings, which will be sold at the hidden-away compound at 2501 Sunset Boulevard (Gremillion & Co. Fine Art, 2021). At the end of retirement plans set during the pandemic's height, the gallery quietly ended last year. Gremillion spent the gradual transition cataloguing and rediscovering a treasure trove of original prints, paintings, and sculpture across the property, located just east of Kirby. The Gremillion & Co. Fine Art founded 40 years ago will hold one final sale. They will be open from December 3, 2022, to March 2023. Gremillion aims to make quality, meaningful art accessible and affordable for people of all income levels. The exhibition will contain around 500 items, with the majority leaning modern (Gremillion & Co. Fine Art, 2021). At special exhibition prices, the acquisition cost will be equivalent to similar items, from around $200 to nearly $200,000. The original two-story gallery building is covered in art, and five first-floor offices have been transformed into intimate exhibition spaces for individual artists. About half of the art will not be shown at any given time, rotating throughout the sale to enhance visitor interest (Gremillion & Co. Fine Art, 2021). Elise Arnoult Miller, a Houstonian, will assist in bringing this proposal to fruition.
