About this business
Frank Kirby, GEORGE A. Beere bought a nursery Harmony Hills Garden Center from an already established nursery at a tiny location near West Ave. and Blanco Rd. At around 1978, Hollywood Park Garden Center was bought at Thousand Oaks/Highway 281. Around 1980, the names of existing nurseries were changed to Rainbow Gardens. There were several San Antonio garden centers during this period. Rainbow Gardens has managed to rely on different San Antonio garden centers for an extended period. Most San Antonio garden centers have been closed. Rainbow Gardens has become the best-rated garden center in the city. We have a vast inventory, interesting displays, and great people and knowledgeable staff, making it a great place to shop. Our San Antonio Express News Readers Choice Gold Award, the Best Nursery in 2011, 2015-2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020.
