Geography research focuses on real-world problems and includes both theoretical analysis and interpretation. Our students engage in service projects and internships. Undergraduate major in social and political theory. Students understand how to make and interpret maps and other types of geovisualizations. They can also acquire and interpret quantitative and qualitative data. The annual Undergraduate Research Symposium features interactive undergraduate research projects by individuals and teams. The peer-reviewed undergraduate journal, Plenum, publishes high-quality research papers. Our undergraduate research journal, Plenum, has introduced longitudinal assessment to evaluate student learning, which includes portfolio reviews, evaluations, and course design as well dependable strengths assessments. We continually adjust our undergraduate curriculum in order to improve our learning outcomes and objectives.
