Seattle U Law community members, including faculty, staff, and students, are engaged and view the law as a core element of their deeper vocation to create a humane and just world. To become civically engaged advocates for their communities, students are encouraged to learn about legal education by completing externships and pro bono work, which helps them make a difference. Because the law school is shaped by a Jesuit educational philosophy, justice, equity, and human dignity are vital course concepts. They want students to "think through [their] experiences" at Seattle University Law and "anticipate their professional path." The university is also dedicated to educating the entire human and creating engaged, transformative, and effective leaders.
