Cashel Academy of Irish Dance

Cashel Academy of Irish Dance has deep Milwaukee roots from the Irish Cultural Heritage Center located in downtown Milwaukee in 1982. The teachers of Cashel Academy are a selected few from the student body who teach to ignite the dancing spirit in the students. In 1991, Laura began working at Cashel Academy as an assistant teacher alongside Mr. Dennehy. She continued teaching in Milwaukee after passing her TCRG. Laura opened our joyous Door County WI branch in 1995 (formerly Scoil Roe Dennehy). Laura taught in Door County WI for 10 years while attending medical school, residency, and fellowship in Chicago. She moved to Milwaukee in 2005 as Director of Sports Medicine for the St. Joseph Family Medicine residency program. Picking up the dance medicine torch, she also worked with Milwaukee Ballet and a local Irish dance school. Laura is a teacher of Beginners through Championship. Laura enjoys training our dance teams and upper-level dancers for Regional, National, and World competitions.
