Reliable Milwaukee Ballet School & Academy | Downtown In 1970, Milwaukee Ballet was founded. The dream was to make a place to showcase professional dancers. Milwaukee Ballet grew and changed when new artists took over the lead, but one constant remained: a commitment to establish Milwaukee and the art form everywhere in the world. Our Mission Milwaukee Ballet changes lives by producing performances, engaging in community activities, and educating and training. Our company is an international dance company. We also operate a successful School & Academy, and we are a force of change for the people in our neighborhood, our outreach and engagement program. The arts have powerful political and change-making potential. We recognize dance is for everyone and should be accessible to the whole public, in the workplace, on stage, behind the scenes, and in the studio. We welcome all and celebrate diversity.
