About this business

Derrick's Bicycle Repair and Parts. In the late 70's/early 80's, after destroying all my sister's bikes, I bought my first bike when I was 14. I wanted to buy a car, but my parents wouldn't let me. Since we didn't have a bicycle shop close by, I fixed my own bike. I won my first race on that bike. I started working at a bike shop in 1985 to support my cycling habit and moved to Calgary in 1998. I've worked at some of the country's largest bike shops since then. From tune-ups to custom builds, we do it all. Just a tube or a whole drive train can be repaired. The oldest bicycles we've worked on are cruisers that are more than 50 years old, while the most recent bikes are triathlon and downhill bikes.
